December 9 & 10, 2009
The Big Horn County Commissioners will hold two public hearings on the
adoption of the draft 2009 Big Horn County Land Use Plan.
The first hearing will be on December 9, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at
the Weed and Pest Building/County Extension Office (4782 Highway 310
Greybull, WY).
The second hearing will be on December 10, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at
the Lovell Community Center (1925 Highway 310 Lovell, WY).
Any person may appear and offer testimony regarding the proposed plan.
Written comments will be received until December 31, 2009
and can be mailed to Big Horn County Planner, P.O. Box 29, Basin, WY
82410 or e-mailed to planner@bighorncountywy.gov.
The proposed plan is a non-regulatory guide to the future development of
the county. The plan examines land use and development trends, defines
future land use goals, and recommends actions to carry out the plan. The
plan has been approved and recommended by the Big Horn County Planning
and Zoning Commission.
The plan is available for public inspection in the Big Horn County
Clerk’s Office, Basin County Library, Greybull County Library, and
Lovell County Library. The plan is also available on the Internet at
www.bighornplan.info

The Big Horn County Planning & Zoning
Commission will hold a public hearing on the plan. The meeting
will held at 7:00 p.m. in the Basin Chamber of Commerce Meeting Room,
407 W. C Street, Basin, WY.
The Land Use Plan is available for public inspection/review at the
following locations: Big Horn County Clerk’s Office 420 W C St; Basin
Library 430 W. C St.; Greybull Branch Library 325 Greybull Ave, and
Lovell Branch Library 300 Oregon Ave.
If you are unable to attend the hearing written comments can be mailed
to the Big Horn County Planner, P.O. Box 29, Basin, WY 82410. Comments
will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. September 21, 2009.
June 25, 2009
The citizen committee and consultants will meet at 7 pm in the
Sheriff's Office, Basin, to review and finalize the draft land use plan.

Open House Meetings on the Draft Plan
The Land Use Plan Committee will host several "open house"
meetings to present the new plan and receive public comments. The
draft plan will be available after May 28, 2009.
Please join us anytime between 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at
any one of the open house locations listed below. The County's planning
consultant will give a brief presentation explaining the plan at 5:30
pm. The consultants and committee members will be available to answer
your questions.

December 2-4, 2008 -- OPEN HOUSE MEETINGS
The Big Horn County Land Use Plan Committee is hosting several
“open house” meetings in December. The purpose of the meetings is to
display the work that the committee and consultants have completed so
far. Furthermore, the meetings are an opportunity for members of the
public to give input and feedback about the plan. Exhibits, maps,
background information, and the results of the countywide survey will
all be on display and available for review and comment. In addition,
the committee and consultants are asking for public input on a series
goals for future land use in the county. Please join us anytime
between 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at any one of the open house
locations listed below:
